Hi there, Brats!
It's Issue #3, and I'm feeling a combo of end-of-summer chill and at the same time, a deep, growing energy for a high vibe this fall.
And, I've been thinking about you, woman. Yes, you!
Truth: this d-list makes me starry-eyed.
I'm just going to tell you what keeps running through my mind. It probably breaks all the rules of Newsletterland, but this is my newsletter, and I'm going to roll with it.
Q: Would you like to meet one another? ("Connect the Brats?" )
Rationale: I *love* connecting powerful, interesting women; and 100x moreso those who want to do good out there - which includes every one of you (both you who I already know, and those who are fresh faces but sure seem to fit the bill). How could it not be the case that we could get "there" further if we knew one another's goals (and obstacles)?
A while back, I hosted some "LinkedIn parties," just virtual happy hours, really, connecting the women lawyers I interact with on social. And - while we had fun that night - a lot of business came from it, too. Women referred to one another. Lonely podcasts found new guests. Attendees got published on new platforms. And on and on.
And, this invite list would only be my subscribers - a room of women lawyers who are, or are working towards, all being unapologetically ourselves.
I've got more invitations coming for you, so if you know women lawyers who want to grow their pay, their influence & of course be unapologetically themselves, please share this so they get on the invite list, too.
Details in our next issue - on this and our fall book club. Teaser: Any of you want to grow your thought leadership? And/or sit beside/at the feet of other women who want to grow theirs?
I'm so ready to light up the town with you all.
See you in two weeks.
xo, R
P.S. I've been told 100x I should teach networking, so I'm starting out with a few scripts:
If you're curious how to get access to spaces where you don't know anyone, LMK if this is helpful.
If you're curious how to find a mentor, try out this take.
P.P.S. If you enjoyed this, please share the link to join with a friend: Sign up for Brat Women Lawyers, the newsletter for you women lawyers who want to grow your pay and/or your influence so that you can do more good.
P.P.P.S. (is that legal?) Got a topic you want me to address here or a LI post you want me to engage on? LMK anytime - we can ring each other's bells and uplift each other's work. I'm here for you.
