Craving a mid career reset?

Hi gang,

Welcome to Issue #6. Twenty eight more days 'til we get to vote in Madam President and her VP, Tim.

Today's issue is going out for those of you thirsty for a mid-career reset. Today, I have an invitation, links & free resources, and an offer for you to use (if appropriate) or regift to someone in your network.

What's a career reset, you ask? You're in midlife, you've already had some wins, but you're feeling a bit like you're plateauing - or you know you are. You're a little overwhelmed (to say the least) around what to do to resolve this. Without further ado, an invitation follows.

Invitation:

This Thursday, October 10, at 1pm ET/10am PT, Delida Costin (the lawyer who took two companies public on the NYSE; one of them being Pandora!) and I will share our stories, and what we've learned, about mid-career resets, starring our own.

There's still seats, and I'd love to have you (and/or your colleagues, friends, etc. Register here.)

Sneak peak: a reset involves work that is both internally focused, and externally focused. If you want to go further and faster, of course you deploy both.

Links and free resources to help you think through your reset, via a whole lot of materials created by Delida and/or me, along with curated links:

- Defying imposter syndrome with Delida Costin, taught at TEDx Santa Barbara Salon (and link to her impressive bio and other resources are linked above and again, here).

- Full length article, sharing the 3 most powerful tools I've used to spearhead my reset, and some examples of how other powerful women lawyers reset faster than their peers, going live today at https://www.interconnectedus.com/articles (Article titled, "A Tale of a Woman Lawyer Who Got Her Groove Back, Mid Career" under the "Access" category).

Note: the article continues additional links throughout, including to my friend Olivia Ash's book, Painting the Landscape of Loneliness and to lawyer-turned-psychologist Larry Richard's multiple articles on the power of journaling - specifically for lawyers.

What's holding you back? I'd love to hear from you and celebrate your wins, even if anonymously. Let's tell our stories and share with this young but growing community, in the service of helping others.

Offer:

I am having the best time helping women via my new Leveraged Networking Roadmap, a package of three (3) one hour (1 hour) strategy sessions (+ 2 months digital support), where we reverse engineer how to land your dream clients, so you can get the credit you deserve. So far, I've been working with women lawyers who are founders (of a law firm and/or a business).

Now, I'm looking for two lucky ladies who are junior partners in BigLaw that I can help. If I think we are a good fit, and you/your colleague is willing to give me a testimonial about our work, I'll do it for free.

Please write me back ASAP if you are interested or share this with your networks!

See you in two weeks. A pinch more in the P.S. Love you guys!

xo, R

P.S. I'm about to return to building our masterminds, and putting together a faculty who teaches on some topics that I believe junior partners in BigLaw would really, really like to have an intimate conversation around.

So if you know anyone who would like to learn how to have challenging conversations (i.e. to get paid for the business she brought in, let's say...), make killer pitches, and/or uplevel their ability to tell stories in a way that wins people over (ex. in a pitch, on social media, or in litigation), please send them my way ASAP. Book here!
